Morawetz Wins Award For Music
Montreal, Sep.16 (CP) - Oskar Morawetz, 45-year-old Toronto composer, has
been named winner of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra's annual nation-wide
competition for an orchestral work by a Canadian composer.
The prize-winning work, a concerto in three parts played without interruption,
will be performed for the first time by the Montreal Symphony at concerts here
next April 2-3.
