Feb. 23, 1962 The New York Times by Ross Parmenter
[...]
The first selection after the intermission was a work new to New York,
Fantasy and Toccata by Oskar Morawetz, a native of Czechoslovakia who migrated
to Canada in 1940, and who lives in Toronto. The work stems from Ravel, with
hints of Prokofieff. But it made a pleasing impression because of its spirit and
craftsmanship. The audience obliged him to bow several times in acknowledgement
of the applause.
