Five Biblical Songs was written in the memory of Terry Fox, who ran
the Marathon of Hope before succumbing to cancer. Betty and Roland Fox,
the parents of Terry, attended the première by the Vancouver Chamber Choir with
conductor Jon Washburn. The choir sang the songs on two western Canada
tours.

A month after the Vancouver première, the Fanshawe Singers performed the
songs with conductor Gerald Fagan.
