Sonata No. 1 for Violin and Piano
Allegro deciso

This sonata is written in free sonata form. The first theme is dramatic, the second lyrical in nature. The development, based on the first theme, is a continuous crescendo which reaches its dynamic climax at the recapitulation. A fast coda leads into a concluding expressive slow section for violin solo.
