The second half opened with the Sonata (1980) by the late Canadian composer Oskar Morawetz.
Clearly passionate about the music of Morawezt, Hoeppner and Wong gave an outstanding reading of this challenging piece.
Wong's affinity for contemporary music and her sensitivity as an accompanist shone in this work in particular.
