Greatest tribute to Morawetz is keeping his music alive[...]
That magic was present in University of Toronto's Walter Hall last night as family, notable artists, former colleagues, friends and music lovers gathered to remember composer Oskar Morawetz, who died on June 13, at age 90.
In an hour-and-a-half of musical and spoken tributes, Morawetz was brought back to life so that we could appreciate his open, generous and good-natured personality.
