Plan June Wedding

Miss Ruth Spafford Shipman and Dr. Oskar Morawetz have announced wedding plans for June 7, 1958. The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Clarence Shipman, London, and Dr. Morawetz is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Morawetz, Toronto. The wedding is to take place at Bloor St. United Church, Toronto. Miss Shipman is a music graduate of the University of Western Ontario.

Miss R. Shipman Honored at Tea Prior to Wedding

Mrs. N. C. Shipman, Clenray place, entertained at a tea hour in honor of her daughter, Miss Ruth Shipman, whose marriage to Dr. Oskar Morawetz takes place Saturday, June 7.

Guests were received by Mrs. Shipman and Mrs. Richard Morawetz, of Toronto, mother of the groom-elect.

A cream-toned lace cloth on the tea table was centred with an arrangement of pink carnations and snapdragons, white 'mums and bridal bells, flanked by tall pink tapers in silver candelabra.

Tea was poured by Mrs. Thomas Jory, Mrs. J.D. MacCallum, Mrs. Gordon MacDougall and Mrs. C. M. Peterson. Assisting in the tea room were Mrs. F. H. Walters, Mrs. H. J. Meikle, Mrs. Kenneth Lewis and Miss Audrey Ickler.

Among others entertaining for Miss Shipman were Miss Shirley Orpen, of Kitchener, a luncheon at Hotel London; Miss Marion Myers, Broughdale, a kitchen shower; and Miss Mary Simpkinson, a miscellaneous shower.
