Dr. Oskar Morawitz [sic] Weds Ruth Spafford Shipman

The wedding of Ruth Spafford Shipman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. Clarence Shipman, London, Ont., to Dr. Oskar Morawetz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Morawetz took place in Bloor Street United church. Dr. Ernest Howse officiated, assisted by Dr. Alexander MacMillan. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a chantilly lace and chiffon gown with bodice of lace rising to a shirred scoop neckline of chiffon. The skirt had two insets of lace with swirls of godet founces. Her fingertip veil borderd with pearls was held to a crown covered with pearls and sequins. She carried gardenias, lily of the valley and stephanotis. Shirley Orpen, Barbara Bowman, and Mary-Kaye Simpkinson attended the bride. They wore blue taffeta under white embossed nylon with small hats and bouqets of white 'mums. Flower girl was Stephanie Shipman. Groomsman was Dr. Herbert Morawetz. and the ushers were John Morawetz, Robert Binnie, Jan Rubes and Victor di Bello. A reception at the home of the groom's parents  followed the wedding.
