Morawetz - Shipman
The marriage of Miss Ruth Spafford Shipman and Dr. Oskar Morawetz, both
well-known Toronto musicians, took place in Bloor St. United Church, with Dr.
Ernest Howse officiating, assisted by Dr. Alexander MacMillan. The musical
character of the wedding was completed by Sir Ernest MacMillan at the organ, and
Dr. Ernesto Vinci of the Conservatory, who was soloist.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. Clarence Shipman of London, Ont.,
and the groom the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Morawetz. Given in marriage by her

Her attendants were Miss Shirley Orpen, Miss Mary-Kaye Simpkinson and Miss
Barbara Bowman. Miss Stephanie Shipman was flower girl. They wore [...]
Dr. Herbert Morawetz was the groomsman and the ushers were Mr. John Morawetz,
Mr. Robert Binnie, Mr. Jan Rubes and Mr. Victor di Bello.
