1992 Commemorative Medal
of the
125th Anniversary of Confederation

Rideau Hall
The Secretary to the Governor General and Herald Chancellor

November 30, 1992

Dear Mr. Oskar Morawetz,

On behalf of His Excellency the Right Honourable Ramon John Hnatyshyn, I am pleased to inform you that you have been awarded the Commemorative Medal for the 125th Anniversary of Canadian Confederation.

This award is being made to those persons who, like you, have made a significant contribution to Canada, to their community, or to their fellow Canadians. The decoration is a reminder of the values of service, individual respect, and community effort on which Canada was built and on which its quality of life will always depend.

Enclosed is the citation in respect of the Medal, as well as a brochure explaining the protocol according to which orders, decorations and medals are worn; the Commemorative Medal for the 125th Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada is placed after the Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee Medal.

As you may know, miniatures of medals are available; these can be ordered according to the information enclosed.

His Excellency asks me to extend his congratulations to you on receiving this honour, to which I add my own cordial best wishes.

Yours sincerely,

Judith A. LaRocque
