Juno who these guys are?

Composition sector is where really new stuff can be found

Oskar Morawetz?

Okay. You don't know Oskar Morawetz. The category in which he won his prize - best classical composition - is hardly a prime-time Juno.

For all those who believe that lowcut frocks or lots of TV time is the way to Juno success, I have three words - the Family Brown. They won a country group Juno in 1990, the same year Morawetz won for his Concerto for Harp and Orchestra. Nice folks, the family Brown, but where are they now? The same cannot be said of Morawetz, a veteran composer and highly regarded teacher at the University of Toronto whose piece, From the Diary of Anne Frank, is nominated this year in the composition category.
